Introduction

Lemon Tree by fools garden this is the first song that I really started listing when I was younger I started listing to this in a playlist I made called happy it got me ready for the day and it was a good song. I never knew what the song was really about I thought It was just about a lemon tree and not a much deeper song.

This song has been one of the top songs in viewership it had millions of people behind it. It has inspired been through controversies and so much more.

Fools Garden Background

German pop group Fool's Garden formed in 1991, comprising with the singer Peter Freudenthaler, guitarist Volker Hinkel, bassist Thomas Mangold, keyboardist Roland Röhl, and drummer Ralf Woche. The Song

I'm sittin' here in the boring room It's just another rainy Sunday afternoon I'm wasting my time I got nothin' to do I'm hangin' around I'm waitin' for you But nothing ever happens and I wonder I'm drivin' around in my car I'm drivin' too fast I'm drivin' too far I'd like to change my point of view I feel so lonely I'm waitin' for you But nothing ever happens and I wonder I wonder how I wonder why Yesterday you told me 'bout the blue blue sky And all that I can see is just a yellow lemon tree I'm turnin' my head up and down I'm turnin', turnin', turnin', turnin', turnin' around And all that I can see is just another lemon tree Sing!

I'm sittin' here I miss the power I'd like to go out takin' a shower But there's a heavy cloud inside my head I feel so tired Put myself into bed Well, nothing ever happens and I wonder Isolation is not good for me Isolation, I don't want to sit on the lemon tree I'm steppin' around in the desert of joy Baby, anyhow I'll get another toy And everything will happen and you wonder I wonder how I wonder why Yesterday you told me 'bout the blue blue sky And all that I can see is just another lemon tree I'm turnin' my head up and down I'm turnin', turnin', turnin', turnin', turnin' around And all that I can see is just a yellow lemon tree And I wonder, wonder I wonder how I wonder why Yesterday you told me 'bout the blue blue sky And all that I can see And all that I can see Is just a yellow lemon tree

Song Explanation

The song Lemon Tree by Fools garden on the surface is about not seeing past a lemon tree; you can’t see past the lemon tree and not see the blue sky. There are two powerful opposed metaphors in this song the blue sky and the lemon tree. The blue sky is quite apparent; it represents a sunny sky without clouds, so it stands for happiness and optimism. The lemon tree is not a typical metaphor, but people usually take it as a sign of bitterness and sadness. The singer Peter Freudenthaler had a French girlfriend who died in a car accident. His girlfriend crashed against a lemon tree. That’s why the song is about sadness and depression. Multi-media English and many other people have a theory that Peter Freudenthaler’s girlfriend did not die. They just broke up because Peter Freudenthaler never publicly said that she had died. This is supported by the line in the song Baby anyhow I'll get another toy And everything will happen, and you wonder.

In conclusion, this song has been

around for a long time maybe its

popularity has died down but it

and people are still listing to in.

It might have been hated by people

but it's popular today.
